Design

Since August of 2024, I have been the Lead Motion Design Artist at Overactive Media’s Toronto office. OAM is a leading international esports organization, and in my role there I have primarily worked with their professional Call of Duty team “Toronto Ultra”.

I’ve had the opportunity to work on so many fun projects combining 3D design and animation, motion graphics, compositing, video editing, illustration and logo design, and physical and voice acting. Here are a few of my favourite projects.

Toronto Ultra
"Hype" Video 2025

A fast-paced, high-impact video created to energize fans ahead of the 2025 Call of Duty League season. This video would air during Call of Duty League Broadcasts and during walk-outs at live stadium tournaments.

What I Worked On

  • Recreated part of downtown Toronto’s Gardiner Expressway in Blender.

  • Animated a fast paced scene driving down The Gardiner, including a CGI version of Toronto Ultra’s mascot “Tilt” driving the car, and an alleyway explosion (because who doesn’t love explosions?).

  • Worked closely with videographer to make sure that green screen and other VFX shots were filmed properly for future compositing.

  • Composited green screen and rotoscoped footage of the Toronto Ultra players onto a CGI rooftop of Toronto’s CN Tower.

  • Animated the endslate partner lockup.

How the sausage was made…

Testing the camera punch-in to Toronto Ultra’s “Insight”.

Optimizing the flow of the car chase scene, with simple stand-in assets to speed up render times.

Valentine’s Day e-cards

Ok, mostly I wanted to test out my animation rig that I’d set up on these 3D Toronto Ultra Operator Skin models. So, I made these Valentine’s day e-cards to be sent out with our February Toronto Ultra news letters.

Bell Presents: The Blueprint

The Blueprint is a docuseries chronicling the Toronto Ultra players and their trials through the many tournaments in the Call of Duty League season.

I created this title sequence for the 2025 series.
